Donor Relations Assistant

The Donor Relations Assistant is responsible for maintaining the smooth flow of donor related functions for the President and CEO. This position reports directly to the President but has dotted line of responsibilities to other Senior Management. This is a 30-40 hour position with potentially flexible hours. Base salary is $15 per hour with 2% employer contribution to Simple IRA, 2 weeks vacation, 7 personal days, and 14 sick days after the 90-day probationary period. Minimum High school or GED Diploma. Business School courses in administrative field desirable. A degree in BA highly desirable, but not required.

Previous development/donor related experience a plus. Possessing administrative skills along with an outgoing personality is a must. As with all positions at Adult & Teen Challenge, the candidate must possess a growing relationship with Jesus Christ that enables her to feel comfortable with praying with some donors by phone should the need arise.

Primary Tasks:

  • Update and maintain the NEON CRM donor database.
  • Become fully trained in preparation of donor reports utilizing NEON.
  • Enter checks and other donations daily into NEON.
  • Assist in layout and preparation of monthly newsletter.
  • Correspondence and composing of letters for the President.
  • Assist the President in composing and sending of receipt letters and year-end statements.
  • Edit/format documents created by the President.
  • Make calls to donors as assigned by the President.
  • Make calls to churches about potential congregational drives, and/or sharing opportunities.
  • Prepare the monthly Campus Report for Board Meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly Prayer Requests to Board.

Administrative Support Tasks

  • Answer, screen, and route phone calls per instructions from program heads—as necessary.
  • Greet visitors and direct them properly—as necessary.
  • Provide assistance with donation drop-offs, receipts, etc.—as necessary.
  • When available, assist Admissions Coordinator with informational phone calls.
  • Cross train to temporarily assist in other functions as identified by President and Vice-president.
  • Assist with additional projects and reporting as requested.
  • Suggest improvements, additions, changes to improve processes.
  • Assist in keeping office clean and neat.
