Teen Challenge of the Mid-South has many volunteer opportunities available. To become a volunteer, you will need to complete a volunteer application with references. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be scheduled for an interview with our Volunteer Coordinator.

CURRENT VOLUNTEER POSITIONS OPEN:
Volunteers Coordinator –Responsible for the management of volunteers to ensure they do their assigned tasks satisfactorily. Must work well with volunteers, employees, donors and staff of Teen Challenge. Responsible for conducting meetings with the volunteers to discuss upcoming activities and current needs; Maintain a database for all volunteers to record all duties and hours worked. Keep records of the volunteers who participated exemplary so they can receive an award or gift certificate for their great work; Create reports to be submitted to the Development Director and also include recommendations that will be beneficial to the volunteer program; and Implement and carry out a plan to recruit new volunteers.
Data Entry – Provide administrative support for the Director of Development and Development Officer. The Development Department is responsible for all internal and external communications, grant writing & fundraising events and volunteer management. The Data Entry Assistant will volunteer a few hours a week to provide support for the Director of Development/Development Officer, including, but not limited to the following duties: input data into donor database; input data into an excel sheet; prepare and print off letters; make copies, and mail documents as assigned. This position is very important with the busyness of the Development Department.
Follow Up – Make phone calls to individuals who have been asked to participate in our events and obtain information from them.
Sponsorship Committee – Join us in our efforts to make our events the best yet! Sponsorship acquisition has a major impact on reaching our fundraising goals, and we need your help to continue growing our network of supportive sponsors! Committee responsibilities include: Working with the Development Director to build a sponsorship package and solicit corporate sponsors to support our events through cash donations, in-kind donations, employee involvement, etc.; Utilizing the Sponsor Worksheet to track corporate relationships and contact information as well as to ensure a smooth transition process for future Sponsorship Committee volunteers; Extending complimentary invitations to select corporate prospects; Working with the committee to recruit corporate teams; Ensuring that all sponsorship agreements are signed and sponsor logos are obtained.; Ensuring that event sponsors receive the established benefits outlined in the sponsorship package; Sending each sponsor a personal thank you following the event.
